- Not suitable for navigation
- For training purposes
- Suitable for all sextants
- Easy to attach
This artificial training horizon enables observations with the sextant on a non-visible horizon or on land.
It is not a navigation device.
The artificial training horizon is placed on the sextant in place of the normal telescope. On the right-hand side, you look over the sextant mirror to the star and a horizontal line.
For observation, the user holds the sextant vertically as usual. A dragonfly bubble must lie next to a horizontal line. The star is also centred on the horizontal line. For solar observations, it is the lower edge.
