The IT2 map set could also be called the Tyrrhenian Sea. It serves all water sports enthusiasts coming from Corsica or Sardinia who want to head for the coast or those who have already reached Piombino and are on their way to Capri (or vice versa, of course). The Tyrrhenian Sea is characterised by places steeped in history, a dreamlike nature and smaller islands such as Elba, Giglio, Ponza, Ischia and Capri - certainly worth a trip. The golden sandy beaches, vineyards and olive groves make for a great backdrop. The wind usually reaches the varied coast in a weakened form, so that a relaxed gliding along on the water is possible. Even in the early and late season, a cruise in this region is fantastic thanks to the Mediterranean climate. In mid-June, the lovely town of Porto Stefano hosts the 'Argentario Sailing Week', a regatta week where you can enjoy classic yachts you've always wanted to see live.
Thanks to the clear layout, the yachtsman can quickly find approaches, harbours and anchorages and is pointed to navigationally important details that also appear in the NV Charts app. The chart series impresses with its optimal scales and balanced sheet sections.
This chart set includes:
- 4 Passage Charts
- 15 Coastal Charts
- 39 Details
- Code for the app
- Digital charts & navigation program
- Harbour plans paper & digital
- Navigation instructions in English and Italian
- Meets legal requirements for up-to-date paper charts on board
NV Atlas chart format
NV Verlag nautical charts are available in an outstandingly practical, handy atlas booklet format, offering many advantages over formats from other manufacturers. The nautical chart series are especially designed by nautical experts and passionate water sports enthusiasts to meet the needs of recreational boating.
The NV Atlas has a very flat staple binding in the middle, so that the course triangle can also be used there without any problems. This innovative development makes it possible to look up charts quickly and always have them in the best order at the same scale. The atlas has an A2 format when opened and an A3 format when closed. The NV Atlas is delivered in a plastic cover protected against splash water. This modern nautical chart format is very popular on sailing boats as well as on motor yachts and is the preferred choice of many of our customers.
NV Charts Navigation App
All NV Verlag / NV Charts nautical charts also include an access code to the digital nautical charts in the NV Charts app for easy downloading. The charts can be used for 365 days from activation for offline navigation with the NV Charts App on iOS, Android, PC and Mac or also in the web browser.
The NV Charts App is the ideal complement on mobile devices. With the app, you can already plan a detailed route at home and thus prepare for your trip in the best possible way in conjunction with the paper sea chart. The app is intuitive to use and, thanks to an identical map image, you can orientate yourself on paper and digitally in a matter of seconds. The most up-to-date information is essential to navigate safely on the water with a sailboat or motorboat.
With the NV Charts app, you now have the opportunity to become part of the chart community. You can mark harbours, anchorages and navigation warnings on the digital nautical chart and also add interesting places beyond navigation, such as restaurants, with pictures and comments and share your experiences with other users. In addition, the NV Charts app offers an automatic routing function, a search and all navigation functions for GPS navigation with your phone or tablet. More information at: nvcharts.com/app
Further PC navigation programmes: NV Verlag / NV Charts nautical charts can also be used in many other nv.digital compatible PC navigation programs such as NV Chart Navigator or Open CPN.
Another recommendation is to take the IT3 if you are planning a detour to the east coast of Sardinia, or the FR11 if you are heading to Corsica. If you are planning to continue your journey towards the north coast of Italy, we recommend the IT1.
